What does Shoonya mean?
Shoonya is a state of emptiness. It is a state of mind where there are no thoughts, no feelings, and no attachments. It is a state of pure awareness, bliss, love, and happiness. Buddhists use Shoonya as a synonym for the ultimate stage of meditation. The word shoonya means ‘voidness’ or ’emptiness’. It describes the indescribable state of nirvana, supreme enlightenment. It does not mean state of nothingness. It means exactly the opposite, a state of totality, of oneness, devoid of ego, devoid of even the slightest turmoil, craving or dissatisfaction.
