The stakes of both companies will be sold to a consortium led by U. S. HOF Capital. Porsche and Rimac Group established Bugatti Rimac as a joint venture in 2021 to serve as home to the iconic Bugatti brand. In this joint venture, Porsche holds a minority stake of 45%, Rimac Group owns 55%.However, Bugatti Rimac is an awkward fit: It sells around 100 cars a year versus Porsche’s 310,000, and the technological underpinnings of the vehicles are different. Should it decide to part ways with such a prized asset, Porsche is well placed to drive a hard bargain.
