Is Mate Rimac the owner of Bugatti?
The two brands were united under the business decision of Porsche, giving control of Bugatti to Mate Rimac and in return receive more share in Rimac Group, which includes Rimac Technology, a company that develops batteries and powertrains. Porsche currently owns a 45 percent stake in Bugatti-Rimac, the joint venture it helped form to run the hypercar manufacturer in 2021. The sale will also include Porsche’s 20. Rimac Group. The stakes of both companies will be sold to a consortium led by U. S. HOF Capital.
