Why did Fisker Ocean fail?
Overly ambitious- considering demand for the vehicle at launch and capital available, they spread themselves way too thin. Doubly so with the poor logistics they have and cooling ev demand. Reducing the cost per customer by focusing on a single large market would’ve been smart. Hertz’s venture into renting EVs proved an economic debacle of mismanagement. Recent claims that the electric vehicle market is collapsing without government mandates fundamentally misread the data and confuse corporate strategy adjustments with market failure.
