How does the Shell Recharge app work?
Every charging process is billed based on the kilowatt hours you have used. If you use the shell recharge app, all payment processes are handled via the app. If you use pay-as-you-go, payment is carried out via your credit card or apple pay / google pay. Access to the shell recharge network can be made via contactless credit/debit card, rfid card, or a smartphone app, which is free to download. When using the app or rfid card, payment is taken from a credit or debit card linked to the customer’s account after the charging session is complete.The Shell Recharge App will be discontinued in North America as the primary access to the Shell Recharge Network. Drivers will no longer be able to download or log in through the Shell Recharge App.There are four ways to start a charge on a Shell Recharge unit. Can I use Shell Recharge without an app?

Once your Shell Recharge card is activated, you can use your app to start a charge session.We recommend to have the BYD app and complete the application form to request the Shell Recharge X BYD charge card. When the charge card is shipped to you, you need to activate the charge card, but you do not need to activate the discount. All active Shell Recharge x BYD charge cards automatically get the discount.If you use the Shell Recharge App, all payment processes are handled via the app. If you use Pay-As-You-Go, payment is carried out via your credit card or Apple Pay / Google Pay. What apps does Shell Recharge use?

Using the Pay at Pump service within the Shell app you just simply: Enter and confirm the pump number from the comfort of your vehicle.
