According to the Japanese news outlet Best Car, Toyota is set to introduce an all-new Lexus IS in 2027, exclusively as an EV. The electric sedan is expected to draw inspiration from the LF-ZC concept car that Toyota unveiled at the Japan Mobility Show in 2023. Even with that context, the IS is not being phased out. According to a report by the Japanese outlet Best Car, Lexus is planning to launch an electric next-generation IS sometime in 2027. The lineup is expected to feature single and dual-motor versions, with the latter reaching the neighborhood of around 500 horsepower. Lexus maintenance costs may be slightly higher than some mainstream brands, but they’re often much lower than those of many competing luxury vehicles. Also, Lexus models are built for durability and, with proper care, can last well beyond 200,000 miles.The Lexus RZ has faced an uphill battle since it launched in 2023.
