Is a Smart App necessary?
Smart App Control is worth using now Now that you’ll be able to turn Smart App Control on or off at will, using this feature finally makes a lot more sense. While some refinements would still be welcome, at least now you can turn it off when necessary and re-enable it if you want that layer of protection later on. If the app is believed to be malicious or potentially unwanted, then Smart App Control will block it. If the security service is unable to make a confident prediction about the app, then Smart App Control checks to see if the app has a valid signature.
